Day Nine…

It was another long emotional day. I can be proud of myself because I made many good choices that will eventually get me to goal. We knew we would be spending a lot of time in the car, so I packed many heathy choices. The fruits and vegetables are free (according to Weight Watchers) the hummus was 2sp, the nuts are 5sp, the Mini Baby Bell Cheeses are 1sp and finally the pretzel thins are 3sp. This whole thing rests on weighing, measuring, and planning:

This worked out great because there was a nice variety of foods and they were very satisfying. I am glad I’m taking time for self-care. Also, these are good choices for my family as well.  We went out to lunch, and as with anyone who is doing this work, I had to make those tough calls – what should I have? What is the best choice? Here is a picture of the menu:

I wonder what would you have picked? I decided to go with the garden salad (dressing on the side of course) and the Marinated Grilled Thick Cut Pork Chop I didn’t eat the apple mango chutney, and I gave my husband half of my pork chop. I ate the mashed potatoes, and I did have two glasses of Pinot  Grigio. The wine really was a necessity and with that choice there went all my points for the day. By the time lunch was over, I had used all 30sp but it’s 9:57 PM and I’m still satisfied.

All in all it’s another successful day. I am becoming much more mindful about my levels of hunger. Is it hunger? Is it stress? I can tell the difference. That’s pretty important.

Thank you for reading. More tomorrow.
