Day Six…

It is late, and again, I’m getting this post in with little time to spare before I hit Day Seven! I took some time to prepare my meals and made up a grab and go serving of mixed nuts for next time I am stuck and I begin to feel that unpleasant hungry feeling:

That will be a lifesaver when I need them! I took extra care to make my lunch look pleasing. I drank the teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in my seltzer and it seems to be suppressing some of my hunger.

Tomorrow is my first weigh in since I’ve reconnected with my resolve to get to goal. NO matter what my results are, I can be proud of the work I’ve done so far.   I’ve been thinking about a new book that will be coming out by Chip and Dan Heath called, The Power of Moments.  They suggest that four elements impact great learning: elevation, insight, pride, and connection. As I work to reflect on each day I have to believe there is some truth this statement.

I am so tired I can scarcely stay awake.   We’ve had our share of loss lately,  and we ended our evening at the beach for a memorial for our friend Paul. Paul was a great musician. Dave pulled together with a group of friends and played a James Taylor song,  Shower the People They  sounded amazing:

See you tomorrow.
